If it's been running that long it stands a good chance the carb needs rebuild .

It may sound odd indeed but the ethanol in the gas causes the carb diaphragms to loose their resiliancey over time weather they sit or are used on a regular bassis .

Rebuilding a carb is relatively simple . Just google whatever make of carb it is ,download the tutorial of the model and follow directions .The kits are pretty cheap ,10-12 bucks maybe  .A little more at a dealer than a parts supplier .
