Vacuum Syringe
« on: June 07, 2019, 12:41:40 pm »
Neighbor is a small engine mechanic.  Saw this on his bench recently.

Clearly 'obvious' once seen; he uses it to suction out fluids.  Easy to make with a common syringe, tube, and spring.

I use something close. Just never thought to take a pic.

Heck  for even bigger fluid removals I use a baster.

I have used many syringes with 2 hands; never thought to add the self-return spring to make it a 1-hand operation!

This one I have has a spring inside but still need 2 hands to operate it.
Works good for even bigger motors I have.
Making a living with a saw since age 16.
