totally plugged.  took it out, cleaned and rinsed it with water.  was broken in 3 large pieces, the creosote was holding it together.

was thinking to use something to glue it, don't know exactly what though?

did the best i could with it.  hope it will hold.

used a "muffler weld" product that i aleady had sitting on the shelf instead.  the 'water glass' is a liquid.
the muffler weld has the consistency of tooth paste, and also contains sodium silacate ingredient that the 'water
glass' does.

use gloves and adequate ventilation!  this stuff is nasty.

wet everything with water beforehand, needs the wetness to bond.
