We'll see what it's like when it gets here.  If I can weld it I will, if not I'll cut a new one out of 1020 cold roll.

Have you had an opportunity to check out the lock that I sent to you?

I got a chance to look at it last night.  It's cast, but tight grain cast.  The other side has been welded before and this side **** right where there was a grinding line from the previous fix.  A little high nickle weld filler and some careful blending of the welds should have this back up and running.

The lock is fixed.  Just a little welding with high nickle rod.  I even added a little more material to the other side and then adjusted the stops so hopefully it won't break again.

It should work for another 50-100 years.
