What to do with a free axe head.
« on: January 08, 2022, 08:02:17 pm »
So I got this axe head for free and since I already have plenty of axes I thought I would do something different with it.

Yep, used a hand grinder from HF and put a cut off wheel on it.   Made a bunch of pie cuts with it then grind, file, and used a drum sander on a drill.

Will use for making kindling.   Just big enough to split a split and small enough to handle more accurate than a full size axe.

So here is a pic of the final project.   I used baseball grip tape on the handle.   It works very well.

Looks great.

I still need to make me one of those 1 handed lifting pick deals with point for smaller rounds.
