There have been several innovative ones posted in the forums, made by guys who can weld.  I saw the Panavise version in the background of a Husqvarna video discussing a new product.  So these are out there in various forms.  If I worked on saws regularly, I would seriously consider buying one of Tree Monkee's as pictured.  Looks really well thought out and made.
