Nick  CRG = Glad to hear that, Kevin. It's looking like around 25% have to be recalled, but I'm giving those a proper burial from now on, so that they never ship out. :) You guys are the hard-working folks that I want to keep happy. Again, if after a decent torque (tighten or loosen) your switch slips, please email me and we'll make it right, ASAP.

Still a time saver just on bench use itself.

Plus we talked about another one that was similar at CRG, but not one Phil posted. Pic of it too when it was being designed.

Pic with short one I used on full wraps. Also in a husky 50 plug area.

Really love it on the full wrap handles

New ones are out. Suppose to be improved versions. https://ratchetscrench.com/purchase/ols/products/ratchetscrench?fbclid=IwAR1YWfMdza7gqCDGdUdOUpzXbChc7S8r5EPY54yqKQwBFLPbyDM7eTbrcmg

Already got new one to compare to my old version that is still going strong too.

What owner said in thread.  We changed manufacturers; now the socket, switch and rivet are FORGED and manganese-coated!
The result is a ratchet that is less likely to slip, an issue with many of the OLD tools.
I hope you’ll give us a second chance, because THIS is the tool we always wanted to offer YOU, the hardest-working folks out there!

VERSION 2 IS HERE!

-Shaft is now made of CHROME VANADIUM.

-Socket, switch and rivet are FORGED STEEL.

-Ratchet tool for easy bar-nut tighten and loosen!

-Hardened heat-treated.

-13mm socket & 19mm socket.

-Fits Husqvarna, Stihl and most other chainsaw and power-equipment brands.

-Precision 12-point sockets.

-Flathead screwdriver-tip fits inside chainsaw bar-groove for easy cleaning!

-A must-have for the professional and the home-mechanic!

-Dimensions: 173mm x 33mm x 43mm

-Weight: 145 grams (5.11 ounces) (0.32 lbs)

New black, old silver. My old one still works great. Hope new does to.

Clicking ratchet sound lot more pronounced sounding on new one. Been using both back forth.

Owner = All BLACK parts are now FORGED, instead of CAST (think "STAMPED" instead of "POURED"). Bottom line: NEW tool is STRONGER!

I think I have V1 V2 and V2.1 now.

Guess there is a V3 coming.

“RatchetScrench changed manufacturers from V1 to V2, which improved quality and ramped up quantity. Version 2.1 was the latest tool available, and it resolved a couple issues related to the rivet and the flathead-screwdriver tip.

Most exciting, however, is that V3 will be 100%-forged (think, “stamped”, like what a blacksmith does, instead of “poured”… (V1/V2 were “poured”, or cast-molded). Bottom line: V3 will be stronger, more resilient. The design is slightly changed to a “chunkier” tool which will be stronger and give a better feel in your hand.

We’ll be in touch, soon, with availability dates!

Nick”
