But Weedeaterman is really just a profit cover over hlsproparts!

Don't care, they give me a better deal than hl and their fast and friendly.

I've made a few purchases from Bailey's and it was always some sale of a deal.

But their picking times, delivery, and the prices they charge for shipping are terrible even from the Woodland location.

I try to buy from somewhere else if I can. Never any slow and expensive problems with other sources like with Bailey's.

I like Bailey's.  I have had some great service, some mediocre service, etc.  But anytime I have had problems, they have been resolved.

I like the range of items they carry and their special deals. Shipping costs have sometimes been an issue, so I try to plan ahead when I can, and wait for their special sales (e.g. 'Free shipping with orders above $X  ')

I miss their Master Catalog: Forestry Suppliers just mailed out their large catalog and it reminded me how a 'catalog' is different from a 'web site'.  If I know exactly what I am looking for, I can do an Internet search or try to look it up on a web site.  Too often, even when I know what I am looking for, I cannot find an item due to the way it is categorized or listed on a site.  I can't order anything if I don't know what they carry.

Browsing through a catalog lets me know about things that I did not even know existed (or that I needed!). Catalog descriptions, specifications, and photos are important to me in understanding, comparing, and choosing an item.  I also like to be able to ask someone (who actually knows something) questions if needed, or to confirm something.

Better web sites get this descriptive thing.  Amazon.com is one of the best for photos, descriptions, specifications, and customer comments (which help when they are objective and descriptive).  Northern Tool is pretty good, and they also have catalogs.  Bailey's is usually pretty good, but they sometimes categorize things in funny ways.  But they still miss that 'discovery' thing of a printed catalog.

Of course, there can always be errors in listings, printed, or on line. But these descriptive factors help make a site better than one that just lists part names, stock numbers, and prices.

In the past, even Bailey's web site was not complete for they offered many items that were not on the web site and you had to call and inquire.

With their recent reorganization and consolidation in Woodland rather than Laytonville, I do not know if that is still true?

Well a lot of the laytonville employees have started their own place. Gregg has started sponsoring AS with the new company yesterday.

Finally.....

Got a response.  Very short and to the point.  My refund will be issued(guess PayPal contacted them?).
Apparently the owner doesn't feel the need to explain why I should still "try to be a customer"?  Not a whisper......

So that is what they shall receive from me....silence, no orders, nada.

BTW, this is the third time I have had problems...out of four orders.
All of the times the items were on sale with some sort of shipping deal, each time the items were showing as 'in stock', and each time the order was then placed into a 'back ordered'....wait times varied between 2 weeks and 2 months.
I did have one order in between those times that were for items that were not on sale and did not have a shipping 'deal' that went through and shipped immediately.......just seems to 'fishy'.

I would have no problem supporting Gregg as long as it has nothing to do with baileys.  Thanks for link.
