Bar Needed
« on: February 05, 2013, 10:37:02 am »
Fishing up a 372XP project with my daughter, and I'm looking for a bar.  Good used, or new.  Thanks

Little more info might help us that might have extras.

16" 18" 20" 22" 24" 28" 30" 32"   050 or 058 in 3/8 I presume.

thinking a 32inch, 050  3/8   Would work nicely.

JMO that is pushing it on a stock 372 unless you are cutting softwoods and maybe full skip.  I ran a 32" on a very stout woods ported 190psi 372xpw 75cc.

I liked 24" on stock 372 and they are rated max 28" on stock 372.  JFYI

Good to know,  This is a fresh rebuild, so I would hope compression is good.  Most of the wood will be Doug fir, with a full skip, so I was thinking it would work....  Thoughts

I can handle 32" of bar using skip in hardwoods with a souped 038 Stihl mag .Were it not so enhanced I'd think 24" would suffice better and likewise would I a stock 372 being the same displacement .

Oregon 320RNDD009 but it won't be cheap. A decent used one will be hard to find, bars take a lot of abuse.
