NW Ohio - Barrow - 42"+ Husky Bar/Chain
« on: June 12, 2014, 07:13:19 pm »
I know that this may sound stupid,
I need to "rent" a 42" or larger b/c, for my 2100CD
Just need to quarter a couple of big Maple trunks.
One hours work or less.

Or if you have a "usable", "inexpensive"  42"+ bar/chain for a Husky for sale let me know.

I use to quarter monsters with just a 32" on 084 and 3120.  Couldnt you do it with your 36".   I dont know anyone local or close to you with 42" or better.

Do know of a 60" stihl bar that could be adapted, but it is 2hrs south of me.

I am sure that the operative words in your response are "I use to".  ;)
"I use to" do lots of things before "age" crept up on me.
Who the hell is that guy in the mirror?  ???

Yes, I probably could quarter these two  trunks with my 34" bar attached to my 394 or 2100, but BUT
my skills in cutting a straight line are non-existent.

I actually called the tree service that originally cut the trees down.
I know them by the fact that our local phone number are the same, expect theirs starts with 448 and my phone number is 447.
I get lots of their calls.
Anyway I asked them if they would go back and cut the two trunks in half.  I was willing to pay.
They said "no problem"  "glad to do it",  "just give us a little time".
That was 2 weeks ago.

At this point, I really do not need the wood in those two trunks, just trying to finish off a job that I started and the wood was free.
