The mounting holes on my 3071 are exactly 4" center-to-center, as near as I can measure. I've checked the 3071 part number against a slew of other Pioneer saws and found no matches, but that probably doesn't mean much.

You're right, the 3071 was the first Pioneer to have electronic ignition, and it was replaced by the P40 in 1973. The two used the same four-cube engine. Lotsa guts for the size.
