I finally got around to testing the fundraiser chain.

Time any of those cuts?   I tried on the very last one and was around 1.1

Like I said earlier IMO dont start a chain till I get the DL count figured out on this 18" bar.
I guess you could start and then break and fix if needed.

Yes. 1.1 was average. Stock lux was 1.70 and CL 1.50. Did some other playing with gullets and stoning on the CL. Got it down to 1.36 average on 3 cuts. Haven't touched it up or anything else yet.

Good place to get the  20LPX Oregon chain .325 .050  Sharpens with 3/16" file  http://loggerchain.com/20LPX-Oregon-chain-325-050_c21.htm

Going out at halftime to see about drive link count.

This bar is longer then the 72dl chain I found. So i stopped there even though I had a 78dl on a 295 poulan.

I am going to cut the bar after all to shorten it up. When it warms back up a tad.  So will get a final drive link count in future.
In the teens here with brutal wind chills. Least I am inside the barn shop out of the wind.

What the difference between 23rs & 26rs? Is it just the gauge?
