I was just curious on the PS and 325 chains as what could be done with them.

I just always remember that 325 RS that was done RSL for a 290 and was like 52% faster then the RM3 junk I took off. Plus the muffler mod and retune was 21% on that saw.  Over 70% with stock porting with just muffler mod, square chain and retune. ;)
This was all done back in racesaws days. So 08-2010

It is what it is. Got in a groove today and about 25mins in a work chain with just the front cutters hit again. Not perfect by any means.
Even thought about bringing down the rakers a hair from what I seen. But gambled and left them a little high.

Think I will go ahead and square file the 33LG small cutter 325 chain too.

Then just round file the Oregon 20LPX. I want to see from stock as I dont like how it is done to round cleaned up.

Then I will have a stock RS, LPX, LG, C1L to compare to.

Anyone do up a Carlton in square or round?

Went alittle better like this.  Remove the poulan 365 top cover with hand guard so I could reset the poulan 330 covers chain brake.

Pretty slick.

 :o

Roger I just opened your chain box. First thing that fell out was  :o

Thank You so much for the donation.  This will pay for this rds cants.  Oh and shipping back ;)

Your chain is WOW again  8). I wish I could make a chain look like that.  :'(  Now if it cuts as sweet as it looks, folks be in trouble in the race chain category.

You are welcome and thanks for the feedback.  I tried everything I could think of on this chain.   The only thing I was not sure of was where to put the rakers.    Like last time I just eye balled them.

I didnt check them. PM me where you put them.

Crap somehow I started calling Carlton C1L above.  It is K1L. My bad

Looks like the RS is a runaway for the fastest stock chain picked of the 4.  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/chain/fastest-325-050-stock/

stihl RS
    11 (84.6%)
oregon 33LG
    0 (0%)
oregon 20LPX
    2 (15.4%)
carlton K1L
    0 (0%)

I did not measure the rakers I have no idea where they are set at.   I only eye ball them and then did a test cut.

Windy as all get out outside. So weighing my choices for inside jobs.

Hmmmm install a ice maker from basement up, kitchen faucet and lines, tub drain, shower faucet set up, file a chain for build off.  ;D

Guess where I am leaning.  ;)
