Thanks for all the research work you did Kevin. I'll have to look into the 3003 mount to see what exactly it is. I do have the bar you gave a link to online. As mentioned my 3000FPS, it will take modification to the tensioning peg holes and I'll have to widen the slot or turn down the existing pegs. If turning down the pegs doesn't leave the oil plate loose to slip over them, I think it will be the easier mod of the two.

What would be the disadvantage of using my bar with no sprocket tip? There's been no issues using it beside my spocket tipped 024, both with the 325 chain. Thanks for all the input, it's a great help. Brett

I've been using 3/8"picco on my 50cc saws for years, better cutting efficiency and lightweight combination. "3005 picco" I had to widen and extend the slot , two new 6mm holes for the tensioning peg ( 50dl chain) + new 3,5mm oil holes ( The oil hole must be aligned with the oil passage, measure twice, drill once  :) )
3005 35cm/14" 3/8 picco , ( for felling/bucking 10cm up to +50 cm trees sometimes).

Stihl 3/8 picco bars in 3003
32cm / 13" 3003 000 6306    ( 50dl chain )
40cm / 16" 3003 000 6313    ( 60dl )
45cm / 18" 3003 000 6317    ( 66dl )
