You can do it with a die grinder and a ball peen hammer if you know how .Unless you use a lot of chain it's not advantagious to buy bulk chain .What little I have is hard to find  stuff like 1/2" chipper and .404 chisel skip in .058 .

It used to be you could find partial rolls of bulk chain off of flea bay fairly reasonabile .Any more though you are just as well to get it from Baileys or some other supplier because the flea bay crowd has it priced higher .
