When I measured relative stiffness, there was a noticable difference.  Flexibility is a key concern than I have for NK bars, especially when they get longer.  I don't like sloppy cuts.

I clamped the bars to a sturdy table, attached 15 pound weights to mimic a large power head, and measured the relative deflection between the 2 bars:

The SpeedCut bar flexed only about 1-5/8 inches: the conventional NK bar was closer to 1-7/8 inches. About a 1/4 inch difference. So this SpeedCut bar does appear to be lighter and stiffer. The stiffness is likely to be more noticable with narrow kerf chain users. The reduced weight will probably be more of a factor with longer length bars used with larger pitch chain.
