Saw an has opened competition saws back up. Wanting to drum up interest in the site. Maybe this chain build could go over there?

6 to 4 there now and 7 to 3 here.  Betting at least 8 of those votes are the same people. As we are here and there.

True. I think they'll be more interest in a 3/8". Lots of people don't have a bar to try 404

Mike since you are willing and able to.  With so few folks into building chains now days to see what they can gain for race and work. Why not do them both?  If you  have the saw cc that can do both.

I will step aside and you can do the longer bar 404 28" 063 and the shorter 3/9 20" 050. Just keep them in separate list IMO.

Choose a gear for each and cc stock or woods ported saw have fun.

Deets said 394 for the 404. That sounds like a winner for me.

20" will be race chains so what do we want to use? 365, 372, 7900, 390, 660, and 3120

394 going to be woods ported?  What gear in 404 with 28" bar and 24" cant?

Thinking 394  would be good with 3/8 9  woods ported or 385/390 066 9 or  3120 9 10

Yeah everything there is ported or will be soon. I think 404 8 would be fine for that with 24" of wood unless it is sweet gum. Then it will be a 7 pin. Going to have to call and see what the sawmill guy can get easy. White pine was the softest he had. He told me he didn't do much poplar. I want to try my 66 with a 10 pin for the 20". With a 9 pin I'm still pushing hard on it in 10x10 size pine
