Round Files
« on: April 21, 2015, 02:18:33 pm »
Pfred has done something different by offering 2 different styles of round files.  Classic or Smooth

“Classic” spiral cut, PFERD now offers a product with a finer spiral cut referred to as “Smooth Cut”. Smooth cut files provides a softer and gentler sharpening action. This is appreciated by professional users who prefer less aggressive cutting properties.

So what files you guys using and prefer now?  I hear save edge isnt the file they used to be. Plus I quit buying from them when they quit selling straight to me and made me use a middle man.

Without seeing them side by side I would say the Classic.

I bought those Lasers files last time I ordered from Cutters choice.  To smooth fine for my liking for removing material fast. Would make a nice finish file or light touch up file.
