You need to do a quick video of that saw running.   The sound has to be really different.   Looks good Chy.

Thanks a lot 3000 FPS and Holmen, I look forward to trying her too. This afternoon did some carburetor work, replaced her membrane. Also put front handle on.

After this I found she has got odd spark plugs, both are Champions, but the numbers are not the same. It seems that the previous owner replaced one of them with one in his junk box, lol, but not the correct one.
Showing these, Champion J-8, and CJ8Y in the pic below.

Her front cylinder head does not have much room for larger plug, so small one in the right must be the correct one.
Let's have a look at it in the IPL,

It says; #44 Spark Plug BPM 7A.
Spark Plug Cross Reference site on the net says; BPM 7A of NGK matches CJ6Y of Champion. So this CJ8Y is not very wrong, but seems a little too hotter for the spin speed I need. I think I should better replace them to the plugs of default number.

Thanks Kevin, this Bosh seems to have same thermal type but some other constructions.
BOSCH WS5E - Alternative spark plugs

I love to visit this conversion site too. Sounds more fun to make some comparison between plugs.

Late this afternoon, I made a couple of driver-bits which has long been at the top of my wish list, for my Dolmar-Stihl projects.
"Torx long bit"!!

Welding was kind of tricky to me, this ultra hard steel easily melts down when I wanted it being kept in so call melt-pool/weld-pool state.
They go into the 4 small holes for fixing cylinder head of these motors.

Hi Jack thanks, I want too!
Do not know why they use a bearing with this complicated design for the clutch-side, which is grooved like this on its outer ring. If not grooved we can get a standard one from any where far cheap!

I placed an order to a Stihl dealer for parts including this grooved bearing, do not know their prices though. They say they do not have stocks of Annular buffer mount for right rear, crank-case gasket and a piston pin.

Well it's not so hard job for me to make the gasket, the piston pin is available if I do not mind cutting off it's length a bit, but the buffer mount....

So tried to make one for alternative use, which comprises of a spring, one from a 2mm piano wire, but failed this afternoon. Will try it again the day after tomorrow.
