Clinton D55  Now to figure out how to put a recoil rope in it.

Only missing sparkplug cover and air hose from carb to filter so far that I can tell.

That roller nose bar must be what came on the Clinton. I knew I hadnt seen one like it before.

Look at this Acres link ad pic.

Heck know  ::)  I just wanted the bar.

Weird having a centrifugal clutch.

But now that I found out it has the original oem bar that came on the Clinton I might have a hard time parting the two.

Right now the PHO is for trades, in the mean time I may put the recoil rope back in it to see if I can get the old girl to fire off. It's way way down on my to do list though.  :-[

She lives.  ;D

Well that was to easy. Recoil has to be the easiest saw I ever did.

Pulled the fuel peacock and ran all new lines inside tank and from carb to peacock. Dang thing had what looks to be original fuel filter in it still.

J 8 spark plug is that right? Huge and needed car socket to remove.

Bar oiler works :D and runs good as long as I squirt fuel in the carb.

So what carb kit do these need?  Found info  carb Tillotson 20AX   carb kit DG-1HL

Cool old saw there Kevin.  My FIL had a Clinton, although we don't know what model.  That would be a neat addition to the collection.

I didnt realize till last night this was a USA made saw.

Right now it's setting on the next to top shelf Brad waiting on me to get a HL carb kit. Only because I couldnt lift it to top shelf without a ladder.  ;D

MANUFACTURED BY:   CLINTON MACHINE COMPANY   CLINTON, MICHIGAN, U.S.A. 1959-1964

I decided not to separate the saw and rollernose bar. I just cant do it.  Some collector somewhere will appreciate that.  Plus the D55 I have looked at all had soild nose bar or PHO. This is the first one I seen to match the ad on acres site with the rollernose.

For you?  What do you got to trade?  Going to keep rollernose bar attached to saw for a collector.

Needs HL carb kit. I can run it all day with a squirt bottle and manual oiler works great.  Missing air to carb air inlet tube and the little metal cover over sparkplug.
