Talking with Walt - I was just telling Kevin that. How my wants have changed. Old days H side and unlimited 272 coil. Today limited coil and no H dont bother me as to me a stumper.

Milling guys might want to be able to tune etc though.

I went to 3/8 8 from get go with short 32" bar.

ut a Denso plug in the G3120 since those NGK China made plugs can be hit and miss sometimes. Yes OEM made right there. ;)

Mamma said get what you want for Fathers day.  😁

So after seeing  guy in CRG using  the cheap 36" bar he was running. I ordered me a 42" for use for stumping and big cuts.

Plus ordered it in 3/8 058 since I have 2 rolls of it here already to make my own 135DL chains with.

Also got a Farmertec G2511 Joncutter coming. Another 2511 echo clone for 99 shipped from US warehouse. Cheap as I have seen the echo clones.

Already have all the set up on hand too. .325 Nano, 1/4" mini micro, 3/8LP

Farmertec 3120 with full skip 3/8.

135DL 42” bar and 3/8 8 rim leaves plenty adjustment. 😎

husqvarna 3120 unlimited coil

I told Caleb to stick the 395 coil in the Farmertec G3120 just because it looks so close to me.  Being he didnt have a OEM 272 coil on hand. His AFM 272 coil wouldnt let it get into upper rpm's either, only 10.4k. 
He told me it is now 13.2K without the H side carb just using non adjustable carb. 
He didnt say if needed to grind on 395 like we have to on 272 coil. Maybe he will tell us.
Wonder why others dont try this? Is it because of the cost of OEM 395 coils?
Pic just G3120 afm.  272 afm (needs ground to clear and didnt go past 10.7K.

395 coil is drop in on clone 3120 and later oem. No grind to fit like 272 coil. 395 coil has a free advance to it. So no messing with flywheel if wanted some.
Ethan 395 coil has more advance over the 272 coil. Few degrees

My oem stock one with jred aka 272 coil and non H side was 13.1K back in day.
The ported one with H side and 272 I always tuned it for working around 12K 44" 60" 72" for local till I ended up with it.

Since last thread on Farmertec G3120 coils and Caleb worked with the oem 395 coil. His was drop In.

I ordered a G395 afm coil to try out. From Jes and Scott at www.Bluesaws.com .
It wasn’t drop in like oem.. I had to grind lower to clear fly.

Started and stopped checking when I seen 12.8K on tach.  Just so you know the afm G395 coil works for unlimited too.

My afm 272 coil didn’t work. Stopped at 10.7k.
My oem 272 coil was no spark.

I do have a 3120 H side carb now after testing more with non H stock carb.

I put everything back on and as used was 11.9k with stock carb. 

Testing and checking plug.

Just playing to see how she acts unlimited in same wood I tested in with limited coil. 3/8 8T


Pushing hard in cuts testing. Was able to pull down couple times.
