The smaller Stihl consumer saws are noted for having the smaller spline.

Some people have run regular 3/8 pitch rims with (3/8 LP), low profile, or Pico chain.

Typically the small saws that run 3/8 low profile chain run a spur in stead of a rim and also it only has 6 teeth on it.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
