I looked it up on the Oregon web site and they were not the same as listed for McCulloch which really doesn't mean much . I got a couple of Husky mounts around someplace .I'll try them just for a reference at some later date if the question arises .

You know at times it gets a little confusing .Say for example a Windser bar or an Oregon might fit say a McCulloch and maybe only one of them work on a Husqvarna .Been that route .Good thing I've got lotsa bars is all I can say .

I hear ya.

It is bad dealing with someone on The Bay unless it is a known entity.

I bought a bar that had a number on it that was 3/8" X .050" X 16" X 60 DL in Oregon Power Match and small mount Husky. It was a Oregon Power Match small mount Husky .325 X .50" X 15" when I got it.

A lot of times flea bay is a dice roll .At one time I knew about half the bidders from the forums but any more the identity is hidden and it seems the sellers like to change their name so it's just a guess . I'm ahead of the game though so I guess it's good from that respect .

Say I might add that Northwood got back with me on that order .Evidently I was confused on exactly how business was being conducted .

They prefer to have orders submitted via "shopping  cart " type of formate which can be payed for by a telephone converstation which seems logical .Some prefer to have total e-business which I simpley will not do because I don't trust security over the internet because I'm a dinosaur over such stuff .Fact I no longer do business with Tulsa Engine over such goings on .

On line suppliers are just like gas stations, there's plenty of them .So hopefully this deal works out with Northwood because they have a lot of stuff .

I don't like dealing with places with no bricks and mortar or a land line. If I remember correctly, it is hard to ferret out this exact information on Northwoods saw? Commenting about this over the phone to him didn't get me anywhere either. Apparently he wants to remain physically aloof to prevent robbery?

But I have dealt with them and the items came promptly and worked well. The final result of the purchase was good.

Northwoods is apparently in the scattered rural community of Clinton Corners, NY but I don't have the complete address or the owner's full name?

To look up the domain name ends with Godaddy as a proxy.

Yeah it must be where the hoot owls romance the chickens or something .Just 30 seconds ago I got an e-mail and danged if they haven't shipped it already which I'm impressed with .So far so good .

I'd like to have this thing running so I can take it over to Ada Ohio and Greggs GTG .Afterwards I'll give it back to my nieghbor and can't wait to see the look of surprise over what was supposidley a dead saw .Never say die . ;)

Hey now I have to give a plug to Northwoods .I ordered that stuff on a thursday and got it the following Monday .

I got it back together and the compression came right up .  I'll have to get the shrouding from my neighbor before I fire it up .I could now but I don't want to take a chance of cooking the cylinder by no air flow .

Fired it up and ran it about ten minutes on a cherry wind  fall today .It did okay considering the ring isn't seated yet .

The saw really wasn't that bad to work on considering I've never wrenched on a Dolmar before .The main bearings popped right out with a little heat from a heat gun .Tight but not as tight as a Stihl .

A little trip to the deep freeze for an hour with the crank and bearings  and heat the bearing pockets it slipped back together slick as snot on a door knob .

It is what it is which is a firewood cutter .At first glance it isn't spectacular but it does have a fair amount of power .Weather it's got the grunt of say an 034 or 036 or even an 038AV I rather doubt it .It is however from what little I ran it a nice little saw for a mid size .

What B & C you running

My 111i runs a 8 pin rim .325 X 18"

With 3/8" they run a 7 pin rim which is essentially the same pitch dia

If I had it to do over, I would go with 3/8" X 16"

It's got what came with it being a 20" bar with a 3/8" 7 tooth .He put a chisel on as per my suggestion but it's a guard tooth chain .In spite of that it's cuts okay .

It's probabley a toss up if running a 3/8" 7 versus a .325 8 which are basically the same as diametric pitch excepting the .325 doesn't cut as wide a kerf ,more cutters too .

You know you get around 50 cc's it can go either way ,.325 or 3/8" .

Now that being what it is it remains to be seen exactly what it might do as far as speed head to head against the 290 Stihl he just bought when he thought this one was grave yard dead .

I'll tweek it when I get a chance and test them both out .Of course then out cut them both with a souped 038 Av but that's kind of dirty pool so to speak .  ;)
