« on: May 21, 2014, 09:53:40 pm »
What would this saw be worth? Someone wants to buy it from me it works excellent but needs a brake band and it is in decent
shape. Im just not sure what to ask for it. He offered a 266 to trade even???

I would say $250-$300 range. I just sold one for $250 and I have another in better shape. Its a keeper. :-) I would rather have a 143 than a 266. JMO. I love the torque on those 143`s....

My opinion is the 143 is worth more then the 266 any day of the week.

143 95 cc 17.8 lbs PHO is worth way more then a 266 66.7cc (weight with 15" bar and chain on saw 15.6lbs) IMO. Cant find PHO weight for 266.  But I would rather handle the weight of a 266 in the woods.
