A very close friend of mine used one alot. He loved it. He was a tree monkey for asplundh and went on to be a lineman for ohio edison. He did lots of trimming jobs on the side. He loved the lil echo. He passed away 2 decembers ago. leukemia got him. I fired the saw up in the spring after he died. I trimmed all the trees in his yard so his widow could mow without being smacked in the face. I really liked the saw. It hasn't been ran since to my knowledge. I would guess the carb and fuel lines need some maintenance now.

Thanks for info.  Thinking about looking for one to go with all my other echo saws.

Had a little echo 280 top handle and didnt care for it.  So was hoping this 3000 would be a better saw if I find and get one.

It is gone now.
The guy was in Holland, near Toledo.
He had a Stihl 031AV and an Echo CS3000 for sale.
Both running and with B/C
I think he only wanted $50 for the Echo and $100 for the Stihl.

Ad is no longer up.

Working on some others in the back ground too.   $50 $75 seems to be going rate for a runner on CL or local ads.

I have had a 3000,3400,330&360 @ different times and liked each of the 2 styles but had dislikes as well.  The 3000 style were very compact, handled well & easier to tune but lacked rpm/cutting speed when adjusted correctly. The 330t style had excellent power/speed with better controls (kill choke start all being one)  but seemed finicky to tune and also seemed bulky due to the what seemed to me excessive plastic.  On another note,  I am currently fixing up a dolmar 3300th (tanaka 3301) and although not exactly the same it seems to share many similar traits to the 3000/3400.....
