Ok that is alot better pic.   I see cracks going between the two bar studs.  I can see cracks like you said at the end of the chain tensioner.

It almost looks like the rear bar stud the one that is missing was pulled forward some.

If you decide to split it and have it welded let me know.  I would weld that from both sides.   Are the bar studs a press in fit from the back side then?

Yep just press in with rectangle head fitting in a slot like the husky 372 etc.

The bar stud was in the oil tank when received. I had thought I  remembered it showing in the pic when I was buying it out of state.

I'm going to get it running and see what I want to do from there.  Not so sure about the cylinder muffler stud fix that was done before me. I was mainly buying for a running parts saw to have for my other one. Seems like alot of the parts are NLA.

3000 fps this one will be put together and shelved.

The dang cylinder fix someone did with the heli coils was done wrong and came out when just messing around with the muffler bolts today. Thinking of filling in cyl muffler holes and re-tapping. Not sure yet. So going on back burner with the other back burner projects for now.

When I tested 3/8 for fun on the 4500. It dont like that at all. Not enough grunt, just like the stock 46cc 346 is IMO.

Cleaning up the jd 450v today and noticed something that previous owner or maybe I have done.  Where the tag goes on the non structural part of crankcase. 1 rivet gone tag gone and **** the non structural part of lower lip of the crankcase.

Was covered in chips in past and today decided to clean it up for a member asking about it.

I put a like new condition old style oregen powermatch. 72dl 18" .325 with like new Carlton N1 chain.

Just cut up some crotched gnarly maple that took  almost the whole 18".  I wish I had a OE 346 46cc to compare it to. This thing might take it with what seems like extra torque for a 45cc.

Just bought a echo 4500 45cc non running no spark etc. Have  a JD 450V parts saw that ran when received here with good spark but **** bar mount and busted off cylinder studs. Might be able to make 1 good 1 I am hoping.

Shipped one out and this one comes in. Now to see if it is as simple as the spark issue that it was said to have.
