I'm definatly sold on echo now. It's going to be pretty much all i buy. If i could gut the 450p exhaust completely , ( cut open gut and re-braze) i think it would be even more woken up by the simple MM.
Do you know of anyone that is advancing the timing? If so how much . 3-6*?

Hell for that matter i think my 590 ported by someone good would hang with any 60cc saw out there, And its built just like them. Bolts for jug, Mag case, etc...

Found another pic on members chainsawr website.
I still for the life of me cant figure out how or what that other end of spring is attaching to inside the handle. Maybe mine is missing the attachment area.  :-X

Did you see that aftermarket piston 4600 4500 on ebay.  4500 is nothing like that. Cant be right pic, I hope for buyers any way.

my early 4600 has a split pin that fits between the upper handle bar mount and the plastic piece that the screws go into behind the handle bar, i think this is where the spring should be hooked to.......tried to quote your post but it wouldn't load, so i'm referring to this pic you posted........

I never got it hooked up.  Just been running without spring hooked up, just tie strapped it.

been wondering if one of these 43mm pop up piston assy's listed on the bay would be a close match to fit in the 4500/4600 saws......
