This one is filling the starter side, carb area and filter with chain oil.

Looking at the IPL.   http://efcopower.com/allegati/156.pdf    crankcase gasket? Have you check for crankcase bolts tightness?

I went over it good tonight, cleaned it. Will take it to work tomorrow. First guess, I think someone wanted a day off. Looks like they poured oil in the starter side.

These 156's that are cracking cases are they in commercial use? Not homeowner type use of firewood cutters and trimming etc.  Commercial, I mean by hard pro use.

They get 8 hours per day clear cutting. The 165 ( newest of the line ) does not use a mag case. Was told it was switched to aluminium. No case failure on the 165 yet.

Haven't heard from the first one yet. Will let them know tomorrow about this one. The 165 got run over by a forwarder load of pine and the case is fine.  ???
