One thing for sure . . . Ads pay the way and companies are continually trying to develop ways to present more.

Currently, I don't see any ads with the setup I've been running the last 15 years.

That doesn't mean that they will not start showing up in the future?

Google is both a friend and adversary. I use their browser (Chromium/Chrome) as well as their search engine. But they try to track where what and when you search for things. They get money from the places you go to as a result of the Google search as well as sell that information to the ad representatives.

My wife clicked on a new free game on Facebook the other day. Now she is plagued with pop up ads every time she changes the screen even though she uninstalled the game..

There actually are no free lunches in life. Someone has to pick up the tab. Eventually, indirectly, it is you.
We should share what we know... someone may learn...
