Brilliant!!!
« on: June 06, 2014, 07:31:13 pm »
Hi folks,

Robert from Victoria, Australia here.
Just want to say what a brilliant forum this is. I've only been a member for five minutes but I've learnt a heap already. ;D ;D ;D
I've had a 30 year old Stihl 038AV for four years now and I LOVE it.  Now, with the help of you folks, I'll have it in tip top
condition for another 30 years! Geez, I hope so... I'm already 65  :D

Just a quick question. Do you guys have much hardwood in the States? We have some here that would make concrete seem soft.

Best wishes

Robert

Some areas of North America are almost exclusively a harder wood and other areas have nothing but softer woods.

Depends on where you live.

But I don't know of any wood as hard and aggravating with fines and grit as some of that in Australia. I think what I'm referring to is what you call grey iron bark?
We should share what we know... someone may learn...

Hello Goldnomad it is good to meet you.   If you hang around too long you might end up with another saw, and then another, and then another.   You get the idea.
