The good Homelites! Intro & question. New member.
« on: April 27, 2013, 06:25:08 am »
Intro & question.Hi everyone! HMLT360Pro here. I am new to this place. ??? I lived in Oregon most of my life then moved to Europe 2 yrs ago. I work at Astoria Plywood for many years until it shut down September 1991. Between the spotted owl & DEQ we didn't have a chance in hell! >:( Then did construction(labor&operator) the rest of time. I am going to start collecting old Stihls & Homelites. In the U.S.A. I owned a few saws; Stihl 036Pro,026,066, & Homelite 360Pro. Well anyway, my question is- where can I go to read about the good Homelites, 360,450,750, &etc. The history of them & the company... If you have any question about the saws in Europe or, just ask. Thanks, HMLT360Pro :)

Chainsawcollectors.se and House of Homelite are a couple that have some nice collections of information.
Just curious; how common are Homelites in Europe?

Thanks! I haven't seen a Homelite here, yet! My dad told me stories, that he had a Homelite in the late 50's to 60's. It was ŽOK' when they started! Same about Mac's. It's gets cold here ! -22 deg. F. is not unheard of. I see lots of Stihls, Huskies ,Poulan  & Jonsred. There are some interesting saws here, like old Stihls & Macs! Like Contras! I am going to start collecting, now. I saw a Stihl that had manufacture tag on it that said- Made by Valmet! Very interesting to say the least! ??? ??? My cousin owns a logging outfit & he mostly uses Stihl- I think his biggest is 880 or 660. If the Ponsse can't handle it- they hand fall... Thanks. HMLT360Pro
