Anyone got the aftermarket 372 x-torq cylinder piston kits out there?  Any info on bolt on or needs work. How they run and lasting?

There is a guy in Canada (Ebay seller) that's selling them.  He says he inspects every kit he sells for QC.  Can't find listing did find this one.

I've tried 3 makes.   The two that are currently readily available were so bad I considered them un-salvageable.   There is one that I tested and is pretty good.  With a ring upgrade it would be fine.  However it isn't finished and out there for sale yet.

One of the 'bad' kits was so poorly made the insides of the transfer ports were never finished, yes they were completely closed, and had to be drilled and ground out.  In that same kit the piston also wouldn't go through bottom center without grinding the bottom of the piston skirt to clear the crank.

The transfer ports on the 441 kits I've tried were really poorly formed at the exits and nearly plugged with chrome . Probably run but, no thanks!

Most of the HyWay kits 372s and smaller from HLS have been decent, not going to make a hot saw but will do for a guy on a budget. Would rather use OEM or Meteor also have a Tecomec kit in stock that looks pretty good but have not used it yet.

Cannot tell exactly from the pics but it looks to me that the Chinese have opted for a socket head cap screw on the transfer covers on the XT jugs in favor of the T-20 tamper proof screws on the OEM. On the surface this looks to be a 'good thing' to me.

I question the use of the word "genuine" on the box in the ad!   ;)

Willing to bet all three "brands" get there stuff from the same Asian supplier/manufacturer... same stuff different box? And some hope you are willing to pay for special colored box, a smiley face or online social status...  ::) Have become a little jaded about the AM marketing world.
