61 rebuild threads
« on: June 02, 2016, 12:30:58 pm »
Hi Guys,

I have just got a 61 that needs both cylinder and piston.  It would be great to find a thread featuring a rebuild of the top end.  I could upgrade to larger cc but don't want to have to hack the body to fit things or have to change carb intake etc.  Also considering Huztl AM parts.

Thanks ::)

I redid a 268 in this thread. You might find info you seek. http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/husqvarna/husqvarna-268/

I just took a good 61 PC off one with a broken crankcase.  PM if interested.

So I bought a 268 jug and piston from Huztl just waiting for delivery.  Can I do a gasket delete on this saw using permatex or is it safer to use the gasket?  Interesting- the receipt reads Farmertech
