Pull it apart and put a new piston in before it kills the jug.

No sir! ;)  Since it's under warranty and I've had the official Husky service rep look at it and say it's ok then when it grenades they will have to fix it.

I should have taken to them the first instance there was an issue but I listened to the local shop (not them) that I'd used for my lawnmower (and is a Jonsred dealer) and some folks on the net.  Now I'm making Husky take care of it because it's still under warranty and when I called them (after speaking with Bailey's who gave me a number to call at Husky) they insisted I went through their local repair shop. :)  OK!  So now it's officially looked at (and he DID NOT look past that it ran and he was able to make it run better so he has no idea what that piston looks like) and since I've told them it's got a problem and they didn't see it I will have much better ground to stand on when it completely fails and I bring it back.

That conversation will go something like this "I came in and brought my saw to you because I knew something wasn't right.  You said the gas was stale and it was out of tune but was fine otherwise.  You put gas in it, your gas I might add, and adjusted the carb and sent me on my way and now it's toast.  It's a defective saw and I'd like a replacement please."

Yup.  Then I will either make them take care of the new one and replace it every 6 months or I'll sell it and buy the 390xp ;)

IMO you should have done that the first time it happened.  Instead of assuming it was your fault it scored and rebuilt on your dime.
Lesson learned if you have warranty use it and let them check it.

And it quit again.  LOL this is comical.

I'm going to take it back to them now and say "well, now what?"

Just from the looks of that piston last time.  It was a matter of time.

Jokers tuned it a few times but it always died (as we knew it would) then they told me it burned up because it was running lean (duh) even though they adjusted it a few times.....then they told Husky it was bad fuel.

Bailey's tells me to send it to them and they will take care of me.....we shall see.

Update:  Huskvarna approved the warranty on the saw and it will be completely rebuilt and then returned to me!  New crank, can and piston plus bits etc.  I was basically told the case and maybe carb will bet he only things that aren't replaced.
