Husqvarna 272 hard to start
« on: December 26, 2011, 12:43:42 am »
Hello everyone, I have a freshly rebuilt Husky 272xp with a new barrel and piston, carb kit. I am having a hard time starting it but once it is started it runs great. The fuel line and filter looks good. The spark arrestor is clean and it has a new plug. Any suggestions as to the hard starting?

Check needle height in carb.  Low needle = hard start.  Just one thing there are more drawing a blank for others right now.

As a rule of thumb set low high needles to 1 to1.5 out. When you say hard to start isnt the 272 the saw that has two gaskets plus intake block w/ rubber that has to be mounder to cyl then set to base.  From you post the carb not letting fuel in with choke out or is it over fueling?Just tring to help.
