I have a 272XP and 268XP in the shop now (a good friend just found a 300th anniv 268XP for me...........I'm stoked).

If I remember...........I'll shoot a pic or two of them together with the covers off tomorrow.  IIRC the jugs look just about identical on the outside, aside from the comp release on the 1996 272XP and no decomp on the 1989 268XP.

that would be great(with the plug in it). with the SE cover on the 268 the spark plug boot is right on the cover.the XP cover clears the boot

IIRC, the 272 jug is like the 268. I have a 272 jug in the shop. If you would like I can take a picture and post it.

that cyl is kinda bad, i wouldnt trust it to a customer. im just gonna go with a 268 cyl(a closed port one). i should have all the parts needed for the intake swap at work.

Cool I'm still with C4F 268 OP on the right 266 on the left both the same B/S 66.7cc 50mm x 34mm. Slab side piston is for the 268 windowed for the 266. The 266 piston appears to be pretty badly scored.

they both are 50mm, one is a 266se, what is the open port one? it bolts up the the 266 but the spark plug is to high. and the mystery one has the intake like the 61.
