John Lambert used to own a 999. I dont recall anything about them as I stayed away from them. Even when found on CL cheap.
Says up to a 60" bar. So whats that say about oiling a 36" ;)

Do you remember how it oiled with the 36? Mine has a 30. I'm thinking I'll use it for milling so I'd like to know it's limitations as far as oiling. Of course, an auxiliary boiler is always an option.

We had a local Olympk dealer several years ago that had a 999 with a 36" bar on it that he would let people rent for large tree or stump removal. That was definitely a heavy saw.
-
I went and got it. Itake way to cool to set on a shelf. It's also to heavy to use routinely and would be overkill. Its in nice shape and compression feels good. On the other hand, let me know if you'll sell or trade that p&c farmboy. This being a rare saw I would like to have them on hand in case it gets worn out at a gtg or something. ;D I'll figure out how to post pics.

Some folks have a few 999 parts LOL. Picked up a NOS 999 Pc kit for real cheap couple of years ago. Haven't run across a parts saw yet.
Shep
What don't you have as far as older saw parts?:)
655 Boost Port Poulan ;D. Actually big Poulans 4900 up LOL. Just bought a bunch of NOS Dolmar stuff coupla weeks ago. No pistons/cyls tho >:(.

I remember a friend having an Olympyk when I was younger and recently saw this one for sale. He says it starts, idles and cuts. Can parts still be found for the Olympyk saws? Thanks
