I didn't buy from HD. I bought orange.
The difference is the catalytic muffler which I replaced with a 6400 muffler
-
Orange ones are a deal then. i wont post what i have been selling the 6400 for ;D
Oh we know HD is way to high. ;)

I knew he was way off with that price and I was pretty sure they only made that saw in pro grade but I wasn't positive. Them paying to much makes no sense in that they sell em as you mention above. He really knew the saw itself but he was mistaken on price or full of it.
What's the difference in the 6401 and 6421?

I know of no consumer grade of those saws. LOL 6401 6421 are pro grade.
Their price paid is BS or someone must have seen them coming. That is ridicules.
He dont sound very knowledgeable to me. :D

I was at HD looking to see if any rentals were for sale. The guy working there seemed very knowledgeable about the saw. He listed all the improvements of this saw over what he called the consumer version. Do you think there's 2 versions of the 6421 or was he maybe reffering to the 6401? He also told me the 6421 costs them 1200 ea.lol He may have seen a msrp listed.
