I was wrong. Oregon Powermate rim  .404 8   new as new can be but can see I made a test cut with it. No wear, just can tell a chain had been across it for testing.

crap 2nd time I have been out and forgot to check for it.

Just got back in from weed-eating around house.  My way of removing the old dead flower stems etc after their use for birds for seeds etc during winter.

So was you able to get one local without paying $10 for a rim online and prob close to that again in shipping?   
I was figuring they were $5 rims and I think mine may be stihl rim.

My local dealer stocks it for a couple of guys with firewood processors. Other wise I would need to order it as well.

JMO no way would I try a 404 9T on a stock mm 084.

It is 404 9 pin danzco. Think I will just run the 8 pin when it gets here. Not sure why they would discontinue them unless there just is not a whole lot of demand or sales of them.

Even a 7 tooth "404" sprocket is almost as big around as a 8 tooth 3/8" rim. So a 8 tooth "404" is pretty good size.

 Was looking to find a 404 8 tooth rim. Checked Stihl NLA. Then Oregon the same NLA. Found that danzco has them. Searched the Oregon part number and found that chainsawr has some. Got one on the way. So for any one looking for some now maybe the time to find them.
