They might be sticking. I could tap recoil and they would work, hit or miss. I just put it on bench #3 as I am in no hurry right now.
Heck even the trigger was sticking.
I think things just setting unused is harder on them sometimes then being used and kept ready.

I went to start the 702 yesterday with new 24" set up to let a guy run it. It has been at least a year since last ran and had ran it dry. Filled and wasnt pulling fuel as the recoil kept acting up too. So primed got it to pop off but then pawls started skipping again ::), so I said crap on it and started working on the guys saws. :-\ :-X :-[

26098x Oregon. You might have to search to find one. But, they are out there and worth swapping out to 8 pin if you are running that bar.

im running a 20 in. bar I don't have a rim sprocket is there one that will work on it ?

My smaller 702 came in with 8T rim and the guy had been running a 24". I thought to myself no way. I switched out to a 7T rim and smaller bar.
Well I was impressed I had to go back to the 8T on it.
Now I am thinking of pushing it to the max to see what happens just for chits. Got a 36" echo bar and new 116dl full skip chain here. Going to put the 7T back on and see if the 70.7cc can pull it, in a just in case it was needed deal.

Nice.
What bar length are you running? These bigger Echos will handle 8 pin rims confidently if you have the setup. Plenty of torque and it certainly helps with the chain speed.

He says Price includes shipping to the Us.$30 shipped in the us.rather than just pull the starter a few times I took the cover off and put a drill on the flywheel nut and spun it for about 30 seconds eventually reaching top speed on a Dewalt 18 volt drill.kept a constant strong spark.

the module is what I figured was bad what is the ohms readings for testing the coil?

I bought a coil and module off e bay thanks for the tip now it runs good again

Im sorry the mount and contact cleaning didnt help. Other than ebay, maybe call Echo Inc and ask them for a list of their older dealers, or ask their parts department if they have a work around from a different unit. Then you can get on the phone and try to find that coil. Usually the module is ok, its the coil that shorts.

There is a 80 being parted out on bay. The harder to find clutch cover etc listed. Maybe the stuff you need. Good seller. I buy chain from him some times.

Those modules on the EVL series are the weak spot. Tough to source out used ones and costly considering the potential for failure. I might suggest baking the module at 225-250 for 1-2 hrs. Several folks, myself included, revived weak or sporadic spark on the infamous blue Prestolite modules on some of the Homelites. I tried it on my 550 EVL module but only baked it for a short time. I happened to find a healthy ignition in the interim so swapped it out. The baking did temporarily bring the spark back but I likely did not heat it for nearly long enough.
Good luck, those 750 Echos pull like a locomotive and ride like a Cadillac.

I will take it back apart and check again and do what you said I cant find any ignition parts for it

Clean the mounts, the places where the bolts hold the module and coil to the chassis. Also, make sure that the wires that connect the module to the coil are not corroded. Go over the places with a piece of emory cloth to remove all corrosion.

I took it apart checked all wires all looks good put it back together it started up and ran great .tried to start it the next day no spark again .when it starts it runs great any ideas?

I just got a old 80 ev from a friend was running great now it has no spark does anyone have a ign module for it I checked kill switch and wire all is good .
