Some people think the lower pitch of the exhaust note of the four stroke to be more pleasing to the ear?

The four strokes do have more torque

I understand that this design is essentially the same as the aero-modeler  Saito engine. Has anyone successfully converted a 4-Mix for R/C aircraft use? Personally,I don't like the '4-Mix' engine design when used in a blower/trimmer; apparently  Stihl believes that this design would still be allowed should all traditional 2-stroke engines  stop being produced.......I don't believe that either will occur-after all,the 4-Mix engine still requires the oil/gas mixture that causes the alleged pollution when burnt ,regardless of how many valves the design has....
