Just so you know. Chris at saw salvage aka Duke's has aftermarket 2511 closed port cylinder FS for about a week now. Oem used closed. https://www.sawsalvage.co/collections/echo-cs-2511-parts/products/the-dukes-cylinder-kit-fits-echo-cs-2511t-cs-2511p-closed-port-design
Guys in my chainsaw group like what they see in them.
Just another option out there now.
Still has the open port ones too that was used on clones. https://www.sawsalvage.co/collections/echo-cs-2511-parts/products/the-dukes-cylinder-kit-fits-echo-cs-2511t-cs-2511p-open-port

Clone tuned in lower 12's and oem mid 12's with the Egan pipe
Why I grease base mounts on echo and stihl. Those fines got caught and not suked into carb throat.

8.57 Egan pipe on oem echo closed port nano 325 ----- 10.68 clone Farmertec open port nano 325 stock muffler. With stihl 63PS 11.16 fastest on Farmertec 2511
8x8 pine dry so like 9" round
So I seen about 20% between oem with pipe v/s stock clone.
These $99 clones from Farmertec G2511 shipped a great bargain. Shipped from NJ warehouse 2-4 days shipping.

Do you have any part number for the .325 nano setup. Sprocket etc.
Depends on which length you get.
Here is one of the shops I buy from in my group. He has been the cheapest shipped too.

Really like those flip caps. Will have to get some and try them out. Never liked the 2 prong caps either

Something I learned to do on oem echo’s and clone versions. Grease at matting points and orings. I do it on 2511’s 501’s 4910 490 590 etc.
Clones with blue filter 2511 #113 on clones
Oring makes fit better and grease stops fines.
If any getting by the 2 halves grease there too.
No reason to spend money on fixes when you most likely have everything to do it free like me.

Egan pipe on stock 2511 good for 28%. The Oregon Nano 325 043 is both smooth and fast. Best of both worlds for a 25cc trimmer.
However the 35ccc 200T it wasnt with Oregon nano 325 043. 63PS 3/8LP full chisel the faster better cutter. Unless your wanting smooth for pruning.

Those smaller husky flippy caps work no leaks.
Being gasket style newer husky style.
It works on oem echo 2511 fine. Don’t over tighten.
Shown gasket only about bottom half.
V-modest 2511 I knew oil one was out. But ordered 4 anyway.
Going to try small one on different saw to see.
The gasket on clone caps even more different. So definitely don’t want to over tighten.
But loving the ease of the screw in flippy over those darn 2 prong caps.
Didn’t like the 2 prong cap on husky either. Wont fit the oil on husky 346 etc wont fit the small oil on poulan jred 505 etc.
But will fit the husky 550 545 oil cap. Per dealer I order with in my group.

Seriously if your wanting a light limber that is so nimble. Rear handle echo 2511PN with nano set up 325 043.
Full of mix and bar oil. With 12” b+c in the 7lb range.
PHO dry 5lbs 12oz
Put a Egan pipe on it for 28% gains shown on Joes dyno.
There is guys porting them and using stock mufflers modded not even seeing those numbers.
I do have one botch. Their caps suk to use. Will be upgrading those.
They want you to use the starter handle to remove.
-
How about some more info on Egan pipe.
Edit - read your post on the pipe on arboristsite.
28% gains shown on Joe's dyno. Some porters with muffler modding stock muffler and ported not even seeing that.
Dyno sheet and ad om Jason's site. I have known him for a long long time. He wont sell stuff unless real gains. Unlike alot of folks out there just taking your money for extra noise.

Amazing 25cc with that Egan pipe for extra 28%
Limbing out the last one.

Well this is a first :o. Usually she wants nothing to do with my gas stuff. Why she has battery powered saw, polesaw, trimmer, sawzall etc etc.
My wife wants me to teach her on this one. I really think she can start this one on her own.
It pops off on first pull every time so far. No matter if my mix or the canned ER mix.
-
Just for info. I had ran out of my 40:1 Efree mix with VPracing. I put in some of my ER mix I keep on hand the Truefuel 40:1.
Just like when I tested in the echo 501. Ran same in 2511 with no changes I could see at all switching over to it. Perfect to end.
Folks just need to check what they buy and make sure not returned colored water. 🤦😂

My tree guy showed up this morning to do the sketchy 5th one for me.
I was afraid of lean toward power wire and guide wire.
Just love watching a pro work his brain and cut to put that sucker 180 from the lean. Took about half hour total.
He tied a rope to big maple near field to keep tension. Then wedge and pulled It over from there. 😎😍
So happy all 5 down now.
I used tiny to limb and open drive up for now.
Time for coffee and rest these ribs. ☕️
-
I changed directions on my thinking after some run time on the echo 2511 rear handle PN. For spike I wanted for my uses.
So I went with a 5 point bigger spike over the 3 point I was going to get.
Pics show how much longer and thicker over small oem one. With same spike angle design.
10 bucks shipped.
OEM one basically worthless. Look how tiny.
-
If I ever try something else on a 2511 besides the Egan pipe. It will be the cnc version from a member in my CRG from NY.
He has 2 versions and like them over wcs version.
Bigger pipe outlet and a smaller one that reminds me of the open clone muffler size.
-
Dont care for the echo 2511 caps. They want you to use the T handle. I call BS.
577878603 T435 caps in normal ending on 1 and flip caps work ending in 3.
-
So impressed with the new member of my tag team. That echo 2511 rear handle with nano 325 043 nk set up throws some dang chips as a limber.
Used for 12" under there was no stopping it on the multiple truck maple 5.
Used the hack ported 490 with front and rear 501 handles. No vibrations felt like the plastic crap did.
Running the stock 18" with 23RS the new stuff.
-
If the open port clone had the 325 043 or the 3/8LP 050 set up with Egan pipe I think it would be real close.
I run the 1/4" 043 mini micro for smooth pruning cuts. Watching the sides of cuts the 325 043 narrow kerf is going to do this too.
Not all chattering like 3/8LP does.
Plus gave me a chance to cut some apple wood for the smoker.
I also cut on the bigger wood their setting on too.
I will be buying the V-modest rear handle when it comes out.
-
Since forgot to show grease. This is on the clone 2511 from v-modest.
-
Putting the grease around af mount outside area to stop any fines.
Just like I do stihl hd at bases.
Works great and no cost.
-
Echo 2511 rear handle PHO weight dry 2511PN
Echo 2511 rear handle PHO weight both tanks full
Echo 2511 rear handle both tanks full. 12" 325 043 51DL narrow kerf chain weight as used
bar chain weight
Egan pipe was already installed for these weights.
-
Someone put my little echo inside a stihl box so it wouldn’t get stolen on way here.
All in jest guys. :P :D
-
I traded that 4910 I just got in for a 2511PN with Egan pipe.
https://www.echo-usa.com/chainsaws/cs-2511pn
Hoping brown santa shows up with it today.

I ask some of the porters in my group. 2511 stock squish
About .032” or so. A gasket delete works on them but the cylinder extension bottoms out on some of them
-
Dang the new 4910 isnt even here and a guy wants to trade me a new echo 2511PN for it.
Hmmm Dont really need a 4910 and rear handle version of 2511 to go along with clone 2511 be nice.
Plus side he already put a Egan pipe on it too.
Echo 2511PN is this one
Also a echo 2511P too
