intake partition mod with metal clamp used without buying updated partition and metal clamp.
This helps explain what I was trying to explain to a member in PM last week.

An insulation wall assembly has been introduced. The set includes a modified insulation wall and a hose
clamp. You have the choice of ordering the new modified set or making the modification yourself.
To modify the insulation wall, remove the plastic parts from insulation wall 503 86 62-01 as shown in the
illustr. Once this modification has been made, hose clamp 503 56 00-03 (used on model 2077 and 2083)
can be fitted as shown.

yep,that's a good mod. of course HVA has had the same pic in one of their service bulletins for some time.

Clamp also fits 268-272-Husky HDAF, Poulan Pro 415-425-475-505 same PN. If buying from Jacks use Poulan PN it's cheaper $4.00 Husky $1.90 Poulan.

If you look at link how to trim old plastic intake clamp to be able to use the new metal clamps.
Doing one yesterday I wondered. What if you trimmed all the plastic intake clamp part away to just use the 372 clamp straight to the rubber boot part.
Am I missing anything to way this cant be done? I dont see where anything would be pulled apart from use. So what am I missing in this thought?

The 503560003 clamp for the 268-272 has been updated to part number 505283302 clamp fits 390xp.

The last 372 clamps I ordered was updated to a new one too. Cant remember numbers.
