Anyone have pics of a modified 5000 intake block? Want to make one for my special 5000. Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

Art you talking aluminum block like using big carb or HL or modified oem plastic one for use with a 272 066 carb etc?

Kevin, pics of both ways would be nice. Not settled on way I am going. Already run 272 carb on my 50 Husky.

No help. After looking at the old pics you cant see the blocks.  Just looking into the carbs.

Art, I'd like to see that (any pics), set-up on the 50. I have a few here that I want to play with & that sounds very interesting.

When I find the saw. Its in the pile in the shed. I just opened up the stock intake and bolted the carb on. I think there is more room to work on the 50 intake.

Sounds good Art ! I have (2) more 490 P&C's to "monkey" with ! I put together a real nice 51 with the first 490 parts & am REAL impressed with it ! I now know why everyone raves about them.
