Title: Poulan pro yellow paint
Post by: Cut4fun on August 13, 2012, 01:52:32 pm
Looking to see what I can find in the rattle spray cans.  What have you guys found for a close match?

Here is some info Bob spike60 shared.

Poulan Pro yellow paint should be the same as Partner. Part number for a spray can is 532126964X. Paint code is listed as 416 or 421. The part number doesn't work through Husky, but a Poulan guy might be able to get it.

PMS1235C for Pantone

You can take a part of the chainsaw to any paint store and they can color match it. But then you need a spray gun and some thinner. $$$$

Not that into painting a chainsaw or a part for that matter in the first place. Just want to touch up that orange husky cover, heck who knows I may leave it orange. :D

You been around me long enough by now to know I could care less about looks of a saw I think.  ;)

415 425 445 475 505.   Shoot you look at the yellow on mine and there is several different shades of yellow used.

I'm just going to take one of the clutch covers with me and match one up probably.

I see!

Btw, the Poulan Pro color looks a bit different than the Partner yellow to me - but I am partly color blind....

The partner yellow seems to have more orange to it IMO too. Then you look at the 505  recoil seems partner yellow and case and clutch cover the truer yellow.  ::)

Just going to use shots to compare from my cheap camera to keep them all from one camera. I have noticed guys with good cameras the colors are so much better but also colors varies from camera to camera.

I can tell you what color NOT to use to try and come close to the poulan or partner yellows. I looked at my cub cadet and the yellow on it. Thought hmmmm so I went to TSC and bought a rattle can of cub cadet yellow. It is to yellow and not enough orange-ish to it.

Good enough for now though.  ;)

The TSC cub cadet yellow is almost a match to my partner 5000 yellow.   ;D   http://www.tractorsupply.com/spray-paint/majic-reg-power-equipment-spray-enamel-11-oz-cub-cadet-yellow-1031022

The 415 475 PP yellows seem to be more orange-ish like the pioneer partner yellow on 550, but still with more orange-ish to the yellow on the poulan pro.
