Hello all!!
I am restoring a R417T and need a decent picture of the decals on the recoil housing so I can get some new ones made. Mine are too damaged, have'nt been able to find anything online. Thanks for you help!
-
Can you post a pic of a partner r 417 t so I can see one?
-
I'm a bit confused on how to post pics ???
-
It worked!! Guess I'm not as confused as I thought... :D

Looks a lot like my 550 I had and parts saw on the shelf. Least now I know what to look for on side decal.
Here is the part # for decal in IPL http://s30387.gridserver.com/partsDiagrams/Partner%20R417%20and%20R418.pdf
Just more info ( I think your saw is 55cc, NOT 85cc like said here) http://acresinternet.com/cscc.nsf/ed1d619968136da688256af40002b8f7/f82ad4143050828f88256afd004bd163?OpenDocument

I hope someone can come up one. I did read the post that said these were 55cc. I have new cranks bearings, piston, seals and gaskets for it. Just need to get er blasted and painted. Happen to know a good color match for these Partners?
-
Check out this poulan yellow thread. I might have mentioned the next rattle can yellow I will try. I havent used a good orangish match out of can yet for partner or poulan pro. Then again I'm not into restoring chainsaws for looks.
You might take saw to have auto paint matched to it to use a spray gun.

Beware of the Partner section on Acres site, it is riddled with mistakes and misleading pictures!

Yes many mistakes, especially in year dates throughout the whole site.

I'm still trying to find someone out there that has a R417T or something similar. I am at the point of priming and painting now and need some good pics of original decals. Have searched the web for hours and have found a pic of a R440, but just the recoil side. I now need a good one of the top cover and handle. Please someone out there... anything??
Thanks all!!
Gonna have a cocktail and watch the Vikes!!

I looked but no luck on R417T
Now 440 I can find.

The years are not the issue with the Partner section, but it is in some other sections, like Stihls introduced in the late 1980s and 1990s (just a suitable exemple, as the mistakes are sort of systematic there).
