I was wondering if it's possible to convert the 562XP to a small 7 spline sprocket rim in .325 from the standard 7 spline bore rim. Only 9 pin standard bore .325 rims are available and that's way too big.
I'm interested in experimenting running 24" to 28" b/c with the smaller .325 full-skip chisel chain driven by a 7 or 8 pin rim.
I feel the standard 3/8 chain is too much for this 60cc saw in these longer lengths, even though the factory recommends up to 28" b/c in 3/8 pitch.
I haven't seen the 560/562 IPLs but I presume the small mount 560 would have a different crankshaft from the 562 with a smaller clutch end stub.
It would be nice if both cranks were the same and all that was needed for the .325 conversion was just changing the clutch drum and oiler worm gear. But I doubt that is the case.

Thanks for those IPL's Kevin. They are printed, stapled together and on my book shelf.
From comparing the 562 and 560 part #s. They both share the same clutch assembly and the same clutch drum bearing. Oiler worm gear ring part #s are different of course for the small and large spline differences.
Clutch drum 575 26 10-01 [same as 560 part #] is listed in the 562 #s. So this drum must have a thinner splined hub to accept the small 7 spline rim.
From what I can see all I have to order is the drum 575 26 10-01 and the oiler worm gear ring 505 20 08-01 to convert my 562 to a small spline .325.
I thinking about buying another 562XP and convert it to .325 with a 7 pin rim, a 28" Oregon aluminum center weight reduced bar and a .325 chisel full skip chain.
With the smallest available 7 pin .325 rim the saw will have plenty of torque to pull the 28"chain in large wood.
I'll keep my present 562 outfitted with it's 18" standard 3/8 chisel b/c.
Two good saws for 2 different cutting applications. Now the next question is are these parts for the 560 available here in North America. Or do I have to get Magnus or Stig to ship them to me from Europe?

Check the 325 set up on 555 which is sold here and would bet same as 560 part numbers ;)
