I'd buy a Sachs Dolmar chainsaw brand new. I used to have a Sachs Dolmar 112 and it cut as good n fast as a Stihl does.
-
Depending on the uses.
Dolmer, Poulan, Redmax, Echo, Efco, Jonsered, just to name a few I would buy.
-
For paid work, Dolmar. For weight and ease of use at home, Echo.
-
DOLMAR
-
I forgot Solo. Heck I still got one on the shelves. Top handle that replaced my 200T I sold.
-
PARTNER,JRED, SACHS,DOLMAR
-
Maruyama MCV51 will be next, (a search will bring up a spec flyer). Then another Efco.
-
Sorry, missed the new part. Jred,Dolmar.

Looks like a Dolmar 5105 in reverse colors

Any brand that that didn`t cost the earth, started easily, was reliable, didn`t weigh a ton, & spares were readily available

While the PRO chainsaws are the best, what is important is actually the statement above . . . .

I'm with Little Al. But it would probably be an Efco or a Dolmar. Efco is still a very good value IMO.
