Title: 034 super question?
Post by: riverrocket on December 23, 2012, 08:28:49 pm
Hi
I'm new to this form, looks like a great Form, I have two 034 super crank cases, one has the word oil above the oil cap and one has a picture of a saw tooth and oil drop above the oil cap, can anyone tell me what the difference between the two cases are?

second question, i'm building an 034 super and the flywheel side of the crank case is broken and i bought a used one (just the half that was broken) will i have any problems matching the new case (flywheel side) to the old one (Clutch side)?
Thanks.

Stihl recommends to only use case halves as a pair the way they came from the factory which is not saying that mismatching will not work it's just their recomendation .

Often if you watch flea  certain model cases complete come up relatively inexpensive .For that matter Scott at chainsawr has complete cases from time to time .
