I have noticed that a few people complain about their chainsaw leaking bar oil. I discovered that my newely acquired Makita DCS 520i was also leaking pretty bad and decided to investigate.
Mine was leaking from the oil pick up pipe where it comes through the housing.
I drained and flushed the oil tank and used compressed air to help dry it. I then removed the oil pump assembly and the tube. I cleaned the hole in the tank and the tube with Lacquer thinner and allowed to dry.
I then coated the sealing part of the tube with automotive type Silicone Glue/Sealant and left the cap off the tank overnight. I also filled the depression with app. 1/4" of Silicone.
So far, it hasn't leaked.
It might work for you.

I have a couple of Dolmars. They don't bring the oiler tube through the housing. It just lays up against the housing and that leak you describe is pretty much what I found. I did the same thing you described to both saws and have never had a problem since.
This is the stuff I used, it works but, it's nasty. The fumes will knock you down. http://www.biosafe-inc.com/sealall.htm (http://www.biosafe-inc.com/sealall.htm)

The new Dolmar replacement oil pick-up tubes are green

THANKS for the SEALALL link---I look forward to checking this out. Where did you purchase it?

You can get Seal All at Home Depot and Advance Auto Parts as well as Walmart

I didn't know it was in Home Depot. Good to know. I've bought several tubes for various things at the local True Value hardware store.
Make sure you have good ventilation. That stuff has strong petrochemical fumes.
